Kiper Spesialis Non-Liga DI EPL Musim Ini

Setiap klub EPL sudah sewajarnya memiliki setidaknya dua kiper tangguh yang layak dimainkan. Biasanya memang sebuah klub itu sangat mengandalkan kiper utamanya. Hanya saja, mereka juga harus memperhitungkan kemungkinan cedera menimpa kiper utamanya. Karena itulah kiper kedua juga harus tangguh.

Untuk menjaga performanya, kiper kedua ini juga harus mendapatkan kesempatan bermain. Terlalu lama tidak bermain bisa membuat kiper kedua ini kehilangan sentuhannya. Klub-klub EPL sering memanfaatkan ajang-ajang non liga seperti piala FA dan piala liga untuk memberi kesempatan bermain pada kiper keduanya.

AFC Bournemouth dan Middlesborough adalah contoh klub bahkan tidak pernah memainkan kiper utamanya di  ajang non-liga. Artur Boruc (Bournemouth), Victor Valdes (Middlesborough), Lukasz Fabianski (Swansea City) dan Ben Foster (West Brom) seperti dikhususkan hanya bermain di EPL. Kesempatan bermain di ajang non-liga diberikan pada kiper pelapis seperti Adam Federici (Bournemouth) dan Brad Guzan (Middlesborough). Kristoffer Nordfeldt (Swansea City) dan Glyn Oliver Myhill (West Brom).

Demikian juga halnya dengan Watford. Penampilan di EPL menjadi dominasi kiper utama Heurelho Gomes, dan kiper pelapis Costel Pantilimon mendapat kesempatan menjajal ajang non-liga. Disini ada sedikit catatan, bahwa Gomes juga pernah tampil di piala FA sebagai pemain pengganti.

Badai cedera yang melanda Manchester United semakin parah. Agaknya sektor yang paling mengkhawatirkan adalah jantung pertahanan. Tidak tanggung-tanggung, empat bek tengah senior MU semuanya terhempas cedera: Chris Smalling (cedera lutut), Phil Jones (cedera jari), Marcos Rojo (anterior cruciate ligament injury) dan Eric Baily (muscle fatigue).

Ini adalah pukulan bagi MU yang masih berjuang untuk merebut satu posisi di empat besar EPL. MU juga sudah ditunggu Celta Vigo di semifinal liga Europa. Formasi apapun yang digunakan, MU tetap kesulitan karena tidak ada bek tengah senior saat ini yang cukup fit untuk bermain.

Belakangan ini  MU sering memainkan pemain serba bisa Daley Blind di jantung pertahanan. Formasi apapun yang akan dimainkan Mourinho, timnya memerlukan setidaknya seorang bek tengah lagi. Mungkin inilah saatnya Mou memberi kesempatan tambil pada bek muda MU, Axel Tuanzebe.

Axel Tuanzebe sudah bergabung dengan MU sejak usia delapan tahun. Bek tengah berdarah Kongo ini sudah memainkan debutnya menghadapi MU pada 29 Januari 2017. Saat itu dalam partai piala FA menghadapi Wigan Athletic di Old Trafford, Tuanzebe tampil sebagai pemain pengganti pada menit 68.

Talenta Tuanzebe cukup diakui di Inggris. Terbukti bahwa Tuanzebe sudah dipanggil untuk memperkuat timnas Inggris U20. Walaupun mungkin kesulitan mendapatkan kesempatan bermain untuk MU, talenta Tuanzebe terbukti cukup diakui timnas.
